Critical Steps
- Hand-thread the side-rail hex nuts onto their studs before tightening any of them fully — tightening one side first can bind the studs on the other.
- Get help lifting the headboard panel into place — it's the heaviest piece and easy to chip a corner handling it alone.
- Tighten side-rail nuts evenly on both ends in small increments, not one side fully then the other, to keep the frame square.

- The side rails attach via threaded studs and hex nuts, not cam locks — hand-thread the nuts first, then tighten evenly on both ends to keep the frame square.
- Get a second person for the headboard panel specifically — it's the heaviest single piece and awkward to align solo.
