Tools Needed
- Ratchet + socket set (bolts are large-gauge steel)
- Allen/hex keys (usually included)
- Second person strongly recommended — uprights are heavy steel
Parts Checklist
- 4 vertical uprights
- Front/back cross braces
- J-cups / band pegs (if ordered)
- Weight plate holders
- Bag of grade-8 bolts and washers
Critical Steps
- Use grade-8 (or the specific grade Titan includes) bolts only — these racks are rated for heavy dynamic loads and substituting hardware is a real safety risk.
- Torque every bolt to spec once the frame is square — a loose power rack can rack (lean) under load.
- Confirm J-cups and safety pins are rated for your working weight before first use.
Pro Tips
- Assemble the two side frames flat on the floor first, then stand them up and connect the front/back braces — much easier than building it fully upright from the start.
- Leave all bolts finger-tight until the entire rack is assembled and square, then torque everything down — this avoids fighting misaligned holes.
